I love inspirational quotes and messages, I mean, who doesn't? In a world where there is so much negativity and hate, looking for the good in people can be tricky and finding inspiration seems more and more like a national treasure hunt. But when we do find those nuggets of goodness what do we do with them? Do we smile and continue scrolling? Or, do we write them down and try and implement them into our lives? I hope I do the latter more than the former more often than not. And on that note, I have watched Simon Sinek a lot lately in his speeches and he is extremely inspiring and it helps me to remember that it may not be the big things in life that are the most important but that the little things I do every day that can make the biggest impact. His more recent interview on Tom Bilyeu site talked about the little things we do that can make a huge deal and it really inspired me to be more intentional in those little things in work and in my personal life.
He talks about the idea that going to the gym one time is not going to make an impact, but going to the gym for 20-30 minutes 3-4 times a week will make a larger impact over time. The same is true with love. No one big gesture is going to make someone fall in love with you or keep them in love with you, but it's the tiny, little, individual things we do every day that shows someone we love them that keeps them in love.
SO I thought about how to practically relate this to real estate business and here is what I have come up with.
3 Little Daily or Weekly Things That Can Make a Big Impact on Your Business
This could be as simple as staying active on your social media accounts, staying in front of potential clients in ads, online marketing, or flyers or connecting with people on a monthly basis in your area. Keep your face and your ethics in front of people and when they need your services, there is no question who they turn to.
Keep the Vision Alive
(No pun intended with our business there (Vision Realty) but there really is something to having a vision and then shooting for it. And then when that's completed go again. This time maybe bigger. Without a vision, the people perish and I think that's true in business as well. If we have no idea where we're going, we're never going to get there and we'll remain stagnant. We always want to grow, whether that's financial, connectively, or even just personally. Write down these goals and then do something every day or every week to get you closer. Add on more brokers? Expand the office? Increase revenue? Add more into retirement? Replace yourself?
Be grateful, make small gestures of appreciation to those in your office and those you are around, focus on who means the most. Pay attention to people's gifts. Everyone has talent but not everyone is in the right field to express it. If you see someone not succeeding, take the time to learn their gifts so they can excel in their field better and make the entire company more successful.
Need to spend more time at home? Prioritize time management and let others pick up the slack. The vision will create your priorities so don't do one without the other.
Go back and Read it Again! The little thing could literally just be going back and re-reading your list, your priorities and vision to keep them fresh in your mind and on the forefront of your daily goals. Remember, 9 hours in the gym will not get you fit, but 90 days of 15 minutes in the gym probably will. Commit to the process today.
